Hi,

I'm creating a new db and did Tools -> Options -> Advance -> and selected the default option to Shared
instead of exclusive. My problem is this is not working. If one user has the db open and other user trys to open the db they get an error message. How can I get multiple users access?? Basically, 15 people will be using the db and will all share one main form that will run different queries based on a drop down list. But if I have the db open no one else can go in an run there processes.....Any ideas???

Thanks
Mike

Assuming that you have a standard front end/back end setup, just give each user his/her own copy of the front end.

Yes....The problem is each person is importing data into tables from txt files that are dumped out by user groups..

I agree with sfreeman's suggestion of a fe/be.

The setting that you are changing is not a database specific setting. It must me changed locally on each machine that will be running the database.

What error message do they receive?
