Probably something pretty simple, but looking through the forum and my "Access for Dummies" bok isn't helping.

I have a database on a network drive. We have a total of 2 users, soon to be 4, and do not log in, everyone looks at the same tables and forms.

If I have the db open, the other user can't open it. If he has it open I can open it and edit it just fine.

I tried splitting db and separating fe and be, but this did not work. My Default open mode is on shared and not Exclusive.

What am I missing here?

No. Right now we both access the same front end, which obviously doesn't really make sense. I split it before i posted here just to see if that would help.

Should two users be able to access the same unsplit access db? I guess i understood it this way, but each user have his own fe would probably work just as well.
