I have created a database where one user was entering information in a form. I will now have multiple users entering data and need assistance on how this can be done.

One of the tables is set up with an auto number field (form has a subform inside) and I've read if the database is replicated this can create problems with the auto number table with more than one user entering data at the same time.

stars,

I recommend you "split" the database where your application code, forms, queries, etc. are in the FE (front end) and your tables are in the BE (back end). The backend database would reside on a server (network share) and the front end resides on each user's machine.

This may get you started..

Good Luck...

Thanks for the information!! I do have a question on the Linked Table Manager though.

I've split a test d/b and entered data on the FE and checked the BE table; the data displayed. However, I'm confused as to when the Linked Table Manager should be run. Should I run after splitting the tables or should I show my users how to use this to run periodically?

I love Access, but it's never crystal clear; just muddy :)
