Looking to confirm a detail.

Does the "maximum number of trunks" in the IP/ Xnet trunk groups apply to IP trunks- ie if set to 3 this will only allow 3 outgoing calls on that IP trunk group?
Need to use this feature to provide a "priority" trunk group for specific users via COR restrictions so Direct IP Route method of MCD5.0 to bypass IP/Xnet trunk groups is not used.

I know the max trunks in Xnet ICP/ PBX assignment sets the max total incoming/ outgoing between any pair of PBX's.

Our maintainer advises that the number of trunks in IP/ Xnet trunk group applies to Xnet/ TDM trunks only...

Thanks!

The Maximum trunks in the trunk group defines the simultaneous number of trunks in that group that can be in use for incoming and outgoing. They are not limited to specific controllers.

Direct IP route needs programming, if you don't want it used, don't program it. Your question does not make much sense to me.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

There are two places that you set maximum trunks-

The "maximum number of VoIP calls" in the ICP/ PBX assignment is total max incoming and outgoing between two ICP's

The "maximum number of trunks" in the IP/ Xnet trunk group is for outgoing calls only (from online help- think of it as doing the same as prgramming a number of trunks in an analogue trunk group).

So, for instance we will have 10 trunk defined in the ICP networking form, but split these into 8 for normal users pls two reserved for users with specific COR.

The questions is just to confirm whether the maximum nuber of trunks in the IP/ Xnet trunk group form applies to IP trunks or as maintainer claims this is for TDM Xnet trunks only...
