multiple time but need only one time dimension transformer ques

Hi Guys,

I have 2 date fields applied date and joined date and 2 measures based on these date fields.
Applied date - Number of applications(measure)
Joined date - Number of enrolles(measure)
so if i choose Number of applications it should display values based on applied date if i choose Number of enrolles it should
display values based on Joined date. How do i acheive this using only one time dimension.

Is the solution not renaming the dates in each iqd to a single item, "date"?

This same question appeared in another forum and I do know that you have only 1 IQD datasource.

To be able to do what you want you should have each date and measure in seperate IQD's ensuring the date columns in both have the same name as suggested by drlex.

One way to proceed here would be for you to read your iqd twice, making sure that the measures are read only once in total(in the data source window, delete one from one iqd and the other from the other). In the iqd with the application number measure, change application date to 'date'; in the other iqd, change the enrolment date to 'date'.

It worked i was able to build cube but a silly question how do i create a drill through report(I mean what date column should i use)

Drill through to Impromptu or to another cube? You should be able to specify on the measure selected. There's a good source of information in the supplied (pdf) documentation - look in the documentation of your cognos install.
