Running Arcserve 6.6 on NT. My partitions are C, D & E. Is it possible to run two tape drives, (HP C1537A, DDS-120 tapes), one to backup C & D and another to backup E?

Thanx,

Mike

Si, tienes que crear 2 grupos de device, y asigna C Y D al primer grupo.
Y E al segundo grupo, creando 02 job, uno para cada uno.

hello,
I too have just installed another tape drive to my library and want to run two jobs simultaneously.
If I set up the second drive in another device group will this allow me to run parallel jobs?
thanks,
howie

I want to do the same with two streamers.
The problem is that nothing will be displayed in the Device Management tool!
No SCSI interface, no Storage device, nothing!
Someone any idea why?
I used Netware 5,0 with ARCserve 6.6 Single server edition.

create 2 groups and then u can send two simultaneous jobs

I have an autoloader with two drives and I am wanting to use both drives for quicker performance. How do I set this up?

Just setup 2 or more jobs and run them simultaneously.
ARCserve will use all available devices to run scheduled jobs. If you have only one job ARcserve will use one drive.

regards
