multiple submissions to google

dear all,

does it matter if i submit to various google portals worldwide? i do a lot of business overseas and would like to get listed in uk, russia etc among others.

should i just submit to one (eg. google.co.uk) or this plus .com, .ru etc.

what effect will this have if any?

Google will find your site anyway if you get some backlinks and usually far quicker than the submission process.
There is no need to submit to each regional portal as they all share the one pool of crawled and cached URLs and multiple submissions are likely to raise the red spam flag.

To get placings in all the regional SERPS a .com tld is best as these are treated as international rather than country specific.
