Multiple Reports

Hi,

I am a newbie to crystal reports. Currently I have been assigned to generate crystal reports out of Rational ClearQuest.

In the body of the report its quite happy if I select a single field with multiple enteries, it only produces a single report when run.

The problems occur when I place two different fields into the body of the report, if both have multi enteries it produces multiple reports which I dont want.


ie field 1 has 2 enter, field 2 had 2 enteries, it will produce 4 reports.

Can anyone help plz

If I understand what you're trying to do, try grouping on field 1 and then putting field 2 in the details.

Thanks for you swift reply-but the output is still not as I require it to be.

example

Field 1 had 2 records
Apple
Banana

Field 2 has 2 records
Grapes
Pine apple

Now if i group them. The output is as follows

Apple
Grapes
Pine apple

Banana
Grapes
Pine apple

I need a single list with all the outputs

Is the data coming from two tables. If so then it would appear that your relationship between the two tables is not correct.

Given its a multiple to mutliple relationship between the table. Is there any way in Crystal Reports I can present the data without producing multiple outputs?

YOu need to define a relationship bewteen the two tables.

YOu may be able to use a command which queries the two tables to give you what you need.

Please show table structure and tell us what you want to see. What Database are you using?
