Hi all,

I hope all is well with all of you! I'm encountering a couple of problems with Your Assistant 3.1.2.14 that I hope you can help me solve.

Call from Outlook - ability to bring up contact in Outlook and click on the Auto dialer. Everytime we try to call a contact from Outlook we get the following error: "An internal error has occurred in the Automatic Phone Dialer. Close the phone dialog box and reopen it." I know this is a Windows issue but I cannot seem to find a fix for this.

Access Outlook Contacts (from Your Contacts Folder) in YA without copying them into YA. The problem here is that YA seems to pick up every contact that is listed in the Exchange organization - including Public Folders. Is it possible to specify where YA pulls its contact information from?

Once YA indexes the contacts is it possible to make the contacts searchable without having to import them into YA?

What are the options for call forwarding profiles:

Can I forward calls to a cell phone and if there is no answer after 2 or 3 rings, have the call come back to Continuum voicemail?

Can I forward to 2 or 3 different phones in order and if there is no answer on any, bounce back to Continuum voicemail?

Shutdown issue. If YA is active in the system tray, the pc refuses to shut down. It simply hangs until we force quit the application

Can't start YA on login as it takes minutes to start when not connected to LAN - what are the options.

Our machines are running WinXP Pro with Service Pack 1.

Any help with this is most appreciated. Even a point to the right direction.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry forgot to add that we're using a Mitel 3300 ICP.

Hi Ed,

I can't answer all your questions but I will make an effort!

We had similar problems with the latest version of YA (3.1.2.14). Mitel knows about it. My advice, don't use the PIM-integration in this version. Previous versions are working fine with PIM (but bad with hotdesking, hotdesking is the big plus for 3.1.2.14). Mitel assured the problems will be solved in the next version.

For errors in your phone dialers: do check your phone and modem options in the Windows Control Panel.

YA does pull every contact that is in your email. And this information overwrites your YA-info! Not very handy indeed!
We haven't found an answer to this problem yet (except for killing PIM).

I'm afraid I can't answer your voicemail questions. I'm not familiar with the Continuum voicemail.

As you mentioned YA takes forever to start up if your not connected to the LAN. For laptops it is wise to pull out YA out of your Windows Startup script.

We've had some problems exiting Windows when YA was still open. Even if you exit YA the process keeps running! We mentioned this to our vendor and Mitel is writing a solution for the next software-version.

Success!

Hi Crono,

Did you get a solution to the problem with dialling from outlook in YA version 3.1.2.14?

Thanks

Going into "Phone and Modem Options" in the control panel then click -->advanced tab -->select "Mitel Networks TAPI Service Provider" --> Configure -->and re-entering the correct data for your deskphone did the trick for us.
