We have an emergency line setup on a few 1120 phones. Each phone has a main number but that emergency line is setup as an additional on each phone. The 'Incoming Ringing Line Preference Allowed' has been configured for each so that functional is working.

However, today we had a new inquiry. When a call comes into the emergency line, they can answer it from one of the phones. Then if they need to pick up the conversation from another phone (with that line on it), they want to know if it is possible they can just put the phone down (no pressing hold or park) and answer it from the other call.

I tested this and it was not possible. It was possible when I put the call on Hold.

Is there an alternate way to make it possible to just put the phone down (without hold of park) and continue that call from another phone?

Thanks

If you build an analog 500 tn with that number it will make it a party line.

i seem to remember something about the CLS (pod) vs poa : privacy override denied vs privacy override allowed. chg the cls to poa on the phones and give it a try.

Trason is correct. If you have POA in the class of service of your phones, then they will be able to "barge-in" on an established call without the need to place the call on hold first.

Thank you for the assistance. I changed the cls on each TN and it works.
