Hi,
i'm a tech working for a public school. I'm trying to install 3 products of Oracle on the same computer:
Oracle 9i Database - Personnal Edition
Oracle 9i Client
Oracle Procedure Builder 6

Is it possible to do this on a Windows 2000 SP4 workstation?
Because i tried it and i'm stuck with different listener which won't start. so is it possible for all these products to coexist and if so how ???

Any help would be appreciated!

First of all thanks for the help! Yes i receive indeed a few error message. First when i try to install the "Procedure Builder 6" i always get the error "Your current Oracle home C:\Orant is an OCSM client installation managed by your system administrator. You may not install or remove products in this home.". So i cancel the installation. But after i can get the service "OracleOras9Listener" to start up again. But i can get the service "OracleOras9Agent" to start up. And the only error message i get grom windows with the listener which won't start is that it's impossible to start the service on the local computer. The service also didin't gave back any error. And finally this error could be a Windows error or an error inside the service itself... So i'm really stuck right now and again any help would be appreciated!

What do you mean by "didn't work" is it that it won't run or is it that it won't connect. Don't forget to have all the tnsnames in sync or to set a TNS_ADMIN environmental variable to point to a single tnsnames.

Hi Beilstwh, i say it didn't work because i won't even install! The only way i have found that Procedure Builder 6 will install is if i install it just after the "Oracle 9i Database Release 2 9.2.0.1.0 Personnal Server". And finnaly i install "Oracle 9i Client Release 2 9.2.0.1.0". But even when i'm able to install "Oracle Procedure Builder 6" after that i get a weird error in both Oracle client and Oracle Server. Because when i try to connect to a database all i get is "Connection interrompue" which can be translate in english as "connexion stop" or "connexion block". And i triple check all my tnsnames so that they all point to where they are suppose to. In general it seems to be a configuration problem to make "Procedure Builder 6" to work with more recent Oracle applications but i don't know how to fix it.

Thanks anyway but i already solve my problem. To install these 3 applications you must install them in a precise order or they won't work. So i install "Procedure Builder 6" first because this application isn't multi home. After that i install "Oracle 9i Client" and finally "Oracle 9i Database - Personnal Edition". So now everything works fine and i don't get any more weird bugs! Just one little detail left. I thought that by installing "Oracle 9i Client" or "Oracle 9i Database" it would also install "Oracle Designer". But i can't find it anywhere... So is "Oracle Designer" include in "Oracle 9i Client" or "Oracle 9i Database" or i'm mistaking ?

Have a good day!
