I’m wondering if anyone has ever configured multiple nodes on a CS1000. I understand it can be done by adding another Sig Server, but I’m checking to see if anyone has done this or knows of it being done.

Thanks

It can be done with at least one sig server per node. If you're using VGMC cards, you'll need to allocate VGMC cards to the node as well. That doesn't apply if you're using DSPs on MGCs.

It is not uncommon. I have worked at 1 site that was a large law firm. They occupied a 7 story building, and had a different node for each floor of the building.

Thanks. This is what I thought. Our local vendor is telling me that Nortel 1) doesn’t support this configuration, 2) has never heard of anyone doing this. I find it hard to believe Nortel doesn’t support it. In our case it has a practical business need, so I would be surprised if this is a rare request and Nortel's not aware of it being deployed in the field
