I have have two dbase files I want to read consecutively.
i.e. read the first file store the data in numbervar's. then read the second file. How do I get crystal to know there are two files to be read in this manner.

Thank you in advance.

Are they identical structures?

If so, you may be able to use an ODBC connection, and use a UNION ALL and manually create the second half of the query.

An alternative might be to use a subreport, so the subreport would fire in the report header, reading one tables data and using shared variables to pass the data to the main report, which could then use them in other formulas.

Thanks for the reply.

No they are different structures. The first file contains summary data I want to include with every record from the second file.

Then a subreport is the solution.

This assumes that you don't have a relationship for the 2 tables.
