hi,

i am just curious if it is possible or me to be able to do multiple clone jobs using multiple source and destination storage nodes? - this is a migration procedure from one library to another so i decided to perform such concurrent cloning to speed things up. i went for cloning so that i will still have a fallback in case something bad happens.

in any case, here is something to make things a bit clearer

rd=hosta:/dev/rmt/0cbn -> rd=hosta:/dev/rmt/1cbn
rd=hostb:/dev/rmt/0cbn -> rd=hostb:/dev/rmt/1cbn
rd=hostc:/dev/rmt/0cbn -> rd=hostc:/dev/rmt/1cbn

the new library is to be attached to the same storage nodes, but of course a new device instance will be made (1). is it possible for me to do this kind of "concurrent cloning"? how will i make a particular savset be read in a specific storage node besides using the tape library of the networker server?

thanks,

Of course you may do this. However, cloning is a functionality between source media and destination poools. So in this case you must make sure that you start multiple clone processes and that the appropriate media/pools only exist on this node.
