We have 4 Cisco 1200's in a doctors office. Sometimes a doc can be at the end of a hallway with an access point directly above them, but they associate with the AP down the hall, and therefore are really slow. Another company installed these and this office wants me to fix this problem. I am not an expert with Cisco AP so I need a little assitance. How should I configure these...currently they are all using the same SSID & WEP. Should I set 1 as an access point and the rest as repeaters?
Any suggestions or can anyone direct me to site for this.

Thanks.

this could also be down to the config of the pc's. If they are using windows to manage their wireless setting, you probably want to check the settings. There is box where it says 'connect to strongest ap' or similar.
Can't tell you exactly where it it, but check on the network settings of the wireless card.

CCNA, CCNP..partly ;)

Hi.

We had such problems too.

It was a channel issue, in Europe we have 13 channels (B or G-radios.

We used channel 13 in some of our AP's and our customer have some laptops which could not operate with channels 12 and 13. (American models).
