Multiple Category Search

I have a about 5,000 contacts with multiple categories checked off on each one of them and when I goto search for something it will bring up every contact that has the category checked off. For example, if I check off 3 categories I only want contacts brought up containing those 3 categories. Instead, it will bring up everything that contains at least one of the categories. Is there some special search I can do to bring up the contacts I want?

Are you using Access?
If so, it sounds like you are using the "OR" operator instead of "AND".

So it should be someting like this:

Select Contact from table_Contacts
WHERE Cat1 = checked AND Cat2 = checked AND Cat3 = checked.
