Hi All

Can anyone help i have two sites one which uses two call appearances on the phone the other has three. When a user is on a call at the site with two call appearances if a second call comes in there is no indication on the station and the second call goes straight to voicemail.
At my other site with three call appearances if the user is on a call and someone phones the user the second call appearance flashes and the next call in lights the third call appearance and only at the point of the forth call does the user divert to voicemail.
I want this to work in the mannor of the first example if the user is on a call no other calls hit the turret they just route to voicemail.
All calls are direct calls non-acd.

Remove the 3rd call appearance and on page 2 of the station screen, make sure restrict last appearance = y.

Thanks phone guy i take it this is not possible using the third call appearance or will setting the restrict last appearance = y still work using this

If you want people to be able to recieve only one call at a time then give them 2 call appr and restrict last appreance = y.

If they have 3 call appr and restrict last appreance = y they will be able to recieve 2 incoming calls, the 3rd will go to vm.

PappaG,

i'd like to add that to have ability to transfer or conference a call a user should have at least one free appearance. thus it's better to have 3 appearances and restrict last one of them only for outbound calls.

Or you could use as many call appearances as you want, restrict or not restrict the last appearance and change their coverage path to cover on "active". Busy = all call appearances in use, Active = any call appearance in use.

thanks noisecode

that sounds like what i require as i dont want to remove any call appearances the active setting was what i was looking for.

Again thanks for all your help guys especially dwalin as your starting to turn into a regular life saver.
