Does anyone know what the limit is the number of multiple operating systems you can have on one box? I have a computer that has 7 partitions and currently has 6 different languages of NT and Windows 2000 installed. I use it when one of our software installers needs to test our product on a foreign language platform. I have successfully installed 6 different operating systems, but hit a snag when I tried to install a 7th today. Unfortunately, the os is Polish NT so I can't read the message I get at boot. It's not a critical issue as I can install on a 2nd hard drive, but I was just wondering what the official limit is.

Maybe the problem is due to : Windows NT Does Not Boot to a Partition That Starts More Than 4 GB into Disk (Q197295)

NT will boot to partitions over 4 gig, we use 800 mhz Compaq Deskpro EN w/30 gig drives and 2 gig Compaq EVO W6000 with 40 gig drives and they both boot on a single partition.

Check your cmos(& for cmos updates) to see if it's set to use larger drives.

Use Disk admin. to make sure the partition is created, formatted and large enough to put the next OS on.

AND for GOODNESS SAKES make sure these are SEPARATE partitions and none of them are extended partitions.
