Multiple Agents

I have a commcell on windows 2003 server with several windows idatagents. The media agent is on the windows box. Now i want to add 6 ubuntu servers. I've installed the linux idatagent on one of the servers and I can see the ubuntu server in the client list in the console. But when I run a manual backup I get the following error:
Cannot connect to the CVD port on machine . I used the default port 8400. Has anyone seen this before? What to do?

Firewall probibly

There is no firewall between the servers. They are both on the same isolated vlan.

There isn't a software firewall on the Ubuntu Server that is preventing connection?
