I am doing a Hotel installation and have (2) 5550 Consoles. With the current system, all int/ext calls ring into both consoles, and the operators share the load. Is this possible with a 3300 using multiple consoles? I don't think I can use hunt or ring groups with 5550's. Any input appreciated, THX all!

Definitely,

When programming the softkeys on the console (6 programmable) simply program the same key on each console.

Then terminate the calls to those keys as appropriate.

That's great news, THX kwbMitel! Can I assign the same DN to all six keys on both? Or do you recommend a different method? I haven't done a 5550 in a few years.

No you cannot duplicate the key, but you don't need to.

The system automatically queues calls on Console keys. They are never considered busy.

DN2958 on key 7 for console1 and DN2959 on key 7 for console2. My softkeys are 2591 thru 2595 on both consoles. I am pointing inbound calls and operator calls to 2591 which does ring on both consoles (THX). The second inbound call stacks on 2591 instead of moving to 2592. Do I need call rerouting? What am I missing?

Each key on the console is separate and distinct.

They are supposed to stack.

Imagine if you will that the console is handling calls for 5 different inbound ringing options

Key 1 = Inbound Calls for the Main Number
Key 2 = Inbound 1-800 calls
Key 3 = Internal Dial Zero
Key 4 = Calls transfered from Voicemail
Key 5 = Inbound Calls for Sales

Now each key can be prioritized and answered accordingly

You seem to be trying to turn a console into a keyline phone - it is not, nor will it ever be.

Only one question for your knowledge:
- One call arrive to console 1
- This call is transfered to other extension
- The call is not answered and return to consoles
- The console don´t return to the same console. Ring in all active consoles

I don't "use" the console very much but there is a recall key. The call does not return to the same key it came in on.

It would not surprise me if this recall is visible to all consoles but it would not surprise me otherwise. Sorry, Can't help with that one.

If memory serves me correct then:
The recall is only visible to the transferring console. Key number 1 is ALWAYS the recall key and cannot be changed. So even though you have 7 soft keys on the console, only 6 can be used as highlighted earlier.
