multi threaded search engines

Hai friends,

I know search engines which searches for a given text from given folder (which contains laks of files), which will open files one by one and do the job. this process takes more time. So i need some source code in the base language (ie c like ) which will do the same job of searching file content in a multithreaded way. So that i can do all searches at a time.

Experts pl send giudence and source code for the above file.

I think you need search for server with database support. The realisation of the search engine will be up to you. Also, focus your attention to CGI. It is the clue between engine and users. C language is not the best choice on that. Try PHP/ASP/WML/JSP. GCI scripts are easier to make in PERL for example. Also you can make prorgams what will query other search engines by using Excite/Yahoo/..... Theese you can make just in HTML. If you want to make them yourself at the beginning, is too much, study system prorgamming. Ion Filipski
