We have a customer who is requesting that they have an ACD group set up so callers wait in a queue, but that all phones ring at once, not round robin. I thought defeats the idea of a call center, but otherwise, how can I get all phones to ring in an ACD group? I can't as far as I know have multicall buttons for an ACD group. Thanks. rp

You are correct in saying that this scenario defeats the purpose of ACD.

Do you require Reporting of calls thru ACD reports.

If not, release 7.1 supports ring groups that may better support the customers scenario.

There is an island of opportunity in the middle of every difficulty.
Miss that though, and you're pretty much doomed!

They are at 7UR3 (7.0.22.5). Is there any reason why we would be required to change the password under licenses option if we upgrade to 7.1?

Aside from a transfer mailbox, I looked at call park and page, but the best item it put a customer in a queue where they hear a rad, but what about call park page? I tried getting that set up for our own use and for some reason I am unable to get it work correctly.

Setup a hunt group and assign RADs to the hunt group. Now put a multicall in as a member.

Incoming calls will ring all the multicall handsets at the same time and play 2 x RAD greetings to the caller.

Job Done

In this instance if we try to replicate a type of ACD and all the lines are busy, at what point is the RAD played so the caller hears it?

Got it to work bearvalley. Set up my answer points in a hunt group, got the RAD to play, recorded new greeting for that rad set. Now, the problem is delay. Which COS do I have to change to shorten the time to when the first rad starts to play? Right now it is right at about 20 seconds. Is it the COS on the hunt group? I've gone through line by line and I don't know which one to change. Any ideas? Thank you. rp

The COS of the Huntgroup controls the RAD.

At your level of software the COS can now be assigned via the Huntgroup Assignment form.

Be thankful that it is not an older revision as determining the active COS for a huntgroup was sometimes very difficult.

Specifically you want to adjust the ANSWER PLUS - Delay To Message Timer that is a default of 20 seconds.

Make sure you also appropriately adjust:

ANSWER PLUS - Expected Off-hook Timer
and
ANSWER PLUS - Message Length Timer

Descriptions are well laid out in the Help File.

That worked. Folks call in, all lines are busy in the hunt group, then witin a few seconds they hear the recording. First person hangs up and the phone rings. Thanks guys. rp

From the time we launch the sw installer, roughly how much time before the switch(3300icp) is ready to accept calls again? My dealer is coming in the morning and its been a couple years since we've done it. We going from 5.2 to the latest version of 7. Thanks, Steve

I think you should start a new thread. That way you will be notified via email that someone has responded to it.
