Hi
does anyone know if you have 3 parts of your
website that accepts a user/pass, if you could
make a drop box form that has each area in it.

So you could enter your username and password
and then choose an area, and when you click submit
the form will post to the matching URL for that choice?

Please let me know i really would love to be able to do
this.

Thanks
Sean

A login page suggests a database and a server side script. If we take ASP/SQL as an example...

Your form page will contain name, password and URL variables. The URL could just be a code like A, B or C. The form is then posted to an ASP page.

The asp page can then test the name and password against the appropraite database, set a session variable or cookie and redirect the user to a specific URL depending on the value of the drop down box (A, B or C).

Hope this helps.

can i pay someone to make it for me? i would prefer a perl/cgi script is possible.

the form can submit the info to the perl/cgi which matches it and passes the info to the appropriate form script.

if you accept paypal and can do this for me please let me
know. sean@mailstang.com

I don't know perl/cgi, maybe you could post in the CGI forum... forum452

Hi mate,

Just a little word of warning.

If you want someone to build a script for you, contact them outside the forum, do not post here asking for people to contact you. Doing that is grounds for your post being flagged and removed as recruiting is against the intended use of these forums.

Hope this helps Wullie

how do i find the email address to contact them? ive looked, sorry i didnt know i couldnt ask.

Hi mate,

You can take a look at poeple's profiles and signatures to find out their e-mail address or website.

If a user doesn't have an e-mail listed, then they don't want to be contacted so you can't.

Hope this helps Wullie
