I am using CR 9.0. I'm trying to create a couple different groups based on 1 field. The field is Charge Type and there are about 18 different charge types within that field. i.e.- Travel, Phone Support, Warranty Work, Delivery Charge.

I'd like to setup a few different groups based on the type of charge. One group I'd like to be Non Billable Charges, One Group I'd like to be Billable Charges and the last one I'd like to be Travel.

So in essence I'd like my report to look like this:

Billable Charges
CHARGE TYPE HOURS
Phone Support 2.0
Delivery Charge 1.0

Non Billable Charges
CHARGE TYPE HOURS
Warranty Work 1.0
Travel Charges
CHARGE TYPE Hours
Travel 2.0

And of course I'd like to list out as many of the charge types that are appropriate for each Group.
My problem is that I can't seem to get all the billable charge types to print under the appropriate group.
Any help you could provide would be great.
Thanks!!

Create a formula as the group field:

If {table.chargetype} in ["Phone Support", "Delivery Charge"] then
"Billable"
else
If {table.chargetype} = "Warranty" then
"Non Billable"
else
If {table.chargetype} = "Travel" then
"Travel"
else
"Unknown"

This should explain the theory, you'll need to adjust for your full requirements.

That worked great!!! Thank You, but now I have the Group Heading i.e.- Billable, Non Billable, Travel printing after each charge type group.

Here is how the report looks now:

Billable
Phone Support 1.0
Phone Support 2.0

Billable
Delivery Charge 0.5
Delivery Charge 1.0

Non Billable
Admin 1.0
Admin 3.0
Admin 2.5

Non Billable
Warranty 2.0

* How do I get the group Heading to not print at the change of a charge type?
I do have Suppress if duplicated checked and I also have Keep Group Together checked.

Thanks again!!
Jill
