What do I need to do in order to get DNIS working on the MTE?

Meridian Terminal Emulator guide does not contain any hits on DNIS.

Meridian MAX does but configuration is done on the PBX and several packages are required.
Check the "Automatic Call Distribution: Description" guide 553-3001-351

what are you trying to do?

I'm trying to get canned DNIS report in the MTE to show data. I figured out 90% of the problem... DNIS wasn't turned on in our routes. The other 10% is that it looks like we are over our threshoulds as far queue's and positions are concerned. Can someone explain how M1 positions work? Last night max was expecting 200 and was measuring 261. We turned off reporting for our voicemail queue and this morning its down to under 200.

Also, let me say that the phone system is not my expertise so I appologize if my lingo if off. I'm just now getting envolved because I really need DNIS reports to be accurate and comparing against CDR we are not even close.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

If expected is bigger than max. - use the configuration tool to turn up/ turn down expected & measured to have measured less than expected without going over on you database size. Do you have configuration floppy?

I will look for the configuration floppy. What does that do? We tried to reconfigure last night but the backup procedure didn't work and were not comfortable making changes thinking that it needed data from the tape after we changed config values.

The cofigurator shows you in advance what changes will effect your database size prior to a live change.

This is the process that we were try to complete last night.

Shutdown Max
Enter Configuration Utility
Max wants to backup to scratch tape (Which failed)
Make Changes

We didn't make any changes because we were afraid that it needs data from the tape to complete those changes? Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
Rob

I recall my back up used to say it failed, when it didn't. I was more interested in getting to make my changes, as long as MAX was satisfied, I always continued.
