I once read about adding Msys in front of a table's name to be able to hide it.

I am wondering:
1) Is there a problem with doing that?
2) Can I rename a table? Is it possible to automatically rename it on every query, form, functions, procedures and reports?

Hi

No problem I am aware of with using Msys infront of table name to cause it to be hidden.

There is also a hide property for tables, but beware in Access97 there was a bug which cuase tables with hide property set to be deleted whenyou did a database compact, not sure if this has been fixed in later versions.

There is no way to automatically rename tables in queries etc, in the standard Access package, but there are third party products available (at a cost) to do this.

I suppose the obvious question is why do you want to do this? Regards
