When I try to create a report in MSTR Web Design Mode for blank report, the filters that I have created do not show up in the Report Objects box? All of the metrics and attributes do show.....???

Thank you for any help,

hoohay

Hi Hoohay,

There is a setting in the general preference page (of microstrategy preferences in web) that you need to check in order to see pre-defined filters. It's called "Use Embedded filters in report filter editor." You also cannot see the filters unless you're in the "edit report filter" mode when designing a report. Technote TN5600-721-0632 can explain more.

Thanks Nate,

this did the trick, I appreciate it!

This is in the 7.2.1, but in the 7.2.0 the same problem appear, and if you go to preferences, general (with administrator), this option don-t appear...

Is this a bug, resolved in 7.2.1??

After you go into the Preferences->General page tab, make sure that you are viewing the "Project Defaults" and not "User Preferences." Those two values are on the left hand side of the screen under the Preferences Level heading. Well, at least in 7.2.2 they are, I'm not sure if 7.2.0 is different. They are above the Preferences heading. If that doesn't work, perhaps someone else can help you.

HTH,
Nate

i did with the projects default, and it doesn-t show anything...

i think the problem is the version.
