Does anyone know if it is possible to have both MSS and Exchange? Say 40 mailboxes on MSS and 10 on Exchange? OR, does it have to be all or none?

You can't do it on the same system it would need to be 2 systems as the software is not the same on the MAS's

How much of a pain to go from MSS to Exchange store?

You can't really it is a new install and you would need a new LIC file also.

Ken, then how practical, or possible, is it to port the existing MAS database to Exchange, after installing Exchange and relicensing the server?
Thanks

You can not port any of the database to the exchange backend. It is a new system and no tools to move any users.

If you are networked with other MM systems or using a MNS you may want to look at the way the networking will work with the exchange backend as it only uses Octel analog networking and it only works if you are not using H.323.

The good news is that to change the license is only like a $500 fee now that they cost the same.
