Hi All

Prob a very easy one but how can I change the default paper size for documents to a4 instead of letter for all documents as at the mo my users are changing it on every instance of opening a new document.

Thanks for reading
Colin

Note that in order to change the printer setting you have two places where you can do that.

One is system wide, and is
start->settings->printers->printer_name->properties
and select whichever tab holds the paper sizes and change it to A4.

You can also within Word select file-page setup. Select the paper tab and choose the size you require. Click the default botton to make that size part of the normal template.

i got the same question but i need to change the default size from A4 to letter!

changing the default size in the printer or word properties works until you restart your computer!! after you restart the computer the default is A4 again!! many people here in Guatemala are asking the same question!

excuse me for my english! but i'm trying to do my best

In Word:
1. Select File|Page Setup|Paper Size
2. In the 'Paper Size:' drop-down box, select the required paper size
3. Click 'Default'
4. Click 'Yes'
5. Click 'OK'

From now on, all new documents based on that template will default to the specified paper size.

Cheers
