Hello;

I have a question about netscreen 5GT
how can i block msn messenger?

Hello,
This might help you:

Solution ID: nskb1058

Block internal users from using MSN Messenger

MSN uses port 1863, but it also uses port 80. If a custom service is configured with port 1863 and port 80, it will deny all port 80, as well as MSN Messenger

The only other alternative is to block the IP address that MSN Messenger uses. Configure an address book entry with the domain name gateway.messenger.hotmail.com, and specify a policy to block access to gateway.messenger.hotmail.com.

Note: Please make sure DNS is configured on the NetScreen.

Rgds,

John
