Hello,
How do I stop MSN Messenger from attempting to reconnect to the internet after I disconnect from my ISP? When I disconnect, the internet connection dialog appears 3 times, and occasionally crashes my computer.

Do Microsoft think that we should be on the internet constantly? What about us mere mortals who do not have broadband? C:\DOS:>
C:\DOS:>RUN
RUN DOS RUN!!

Go into Control Panel and open up your Internet Options. Under the Connections Tab make sure Never Dial a Connection is selected. This should stop any program trying to connect to the net. There is one draw back to this. If you are used to opening Outlook Express or Internet Explorer and automatically connecting to the internet they won't be able to. You will have to manually connect first through your dial up settings.

Hope that is of some help,
Blue
