Hi everybody maybe you can help me with a problem I have. Anytime I try to access MSN Explorer, or some applications that require Passport Password, such as Hotmail or Messenger (from IE6), the page goes blank and says the server was not found. However when I try other websites from IE6 it works fine. Anything else works ok. Can you please check the HijackThis file that I got:

Your log looks clean, at a glance. I wonder if this is not more a secure sites problem.
Is the date/time correct on your pc?
Under Help > About IE, is your Cipher Strength at 128?

Try disabling the antivirus programs that are running and see if it works. If it does, One or all of the antivirus may have script blocking turned on. I see Macafee also. Try disabling that too.

Then try the entries in this link and see if it helps.

I agree with carr. There are several other possible causes for this behavior that are not malware related. Search this forum for secure site and you will find quite a list.

If it helps:

Start button, Run, control userpasswords2
The second page contains a management tool for .NET and MS Password accounts.

There is an excellent secure site troubleshooter here:
I am not disagreeing with carr or smah above, I just hope the above helps focus your research into the problem.

Thank you for your help and your comments it turned out to be a scrypt file that was damaged and now it is fixed. Bye and take care
