MSI MOTHERBOARD NOT BOOTING

ive just built a pc with msi k8t neo2 motherboard and an AMD64 3000 cpu now it initially turned on and i was able to save the settings for the hard drive and dvd-rom then i continued on to start installin windows xp but when i restarted after saving the settings the computer will not boot into anything no bios or nothin the computer is on the fans are running but the hdd light stays on i have checked all the cables but still it will not boot into anything, is there anything else i can do?

If you didnt reset your bios prior to the start up you can run into that problem.

Most new ,motherboards have a reset jumper follow the instructions in your owners manual and then go into your bios Load Optimized Defaults then proceed to configure your bios
 
As mentioned Clearing the CMOS, would be a good start...

what the size of PSU and what GFX-CARD are you using...

With AMD's you should use at least a 400w if not bigger PSU with at least 23a on the 12v line... (if I remember correctly)...

another thing to try, unplug the HD, and see if it POSTS...

is the HD used or NEW?

may sound strange but i ran into a problem where after building the pc and installing windows, no post, nothing but fans until found out i had the HD and Reset pins backwards on the mobo, put them on correctly and she started, another may be the PSU,,,good luck...
