Hello All,

I've tried to download a .msi file from Apache.org, but I must admit, this is the first time for me to try this kinda download. Here is what happened when I tried. I clicked the link to the file and then I got a little icon, hardrive, at the bottom left of my browser, status bar. The download seemed to be in progress and then it just stopped, finished I thought. Then nothing. Now, I think this is maybe where my lack of knowledge steps in, yes..? Where would this file now be..? What normally happens once the download finishes, if it did at all..? Searched the help files for this, but not very useful, for me anyway. I've checked/verified that WindowsInstaller is actualy set up on my PC, it is, version v1.10.1029.0. on Win2kPro. Believe it comes with Win2k and ME as default. Could anyone help me out here, please. TIA. Cheers all.

Try searching for *.msi on your local hard drives. You may be able to find the file, if it was downloaded to your machine.

Otherwise, go back to the apache.org site and find the link to download the file. Right-click on it, choose Save Target As, and specify a filename and location. This will allow you to save the file where you want it.

After the file is downloaded, you should be able to double-click the msi to start the installation process.

Hello All,

yes, already tried a search for it, no luck. Also, tried right clicking, but got a message from Go!Zilla saying that no alternative page could be found. Whatever that means, eh. Thanx for trying to help, though. Cheers all.

Have you looked in your temporary internet files folder (assuming you're using IE)? Though I expect you should take the previous advice and download it saving it where you know it will be.
