profile.c(229): IServiceAdmin::ConfigureMsgService()=0x80040110: unknown error -2147221232

...when trying to backup individual mailbox's using the nsrxchsv.exe -I Input file name in the command line...

Not getting very much help from Legato's online service...
Any help would be greatly appreciated...Running Exchange 5.5 on W2K platform...Exchange module 2.0 with the latest patch (.5)...I also recieve the IService error when double clicking on the private information store from the Exchange module...

The Messaging Application Program Interface (MAPI) is an extensive set of functions that developers can use to create mail-enabled applications. The full function library is known as MAPI 1.0 or Extended MAPI. Extended MAPI allows complete control over the messaging system on the client computer, creation and management of messages, management of the client mailbox, service providers, and so forth.

Do you get any Dr. Watson errors?

Microsoft sources say that the MAPI error code 0x80040110 refers to a MAPI version issue. (
MAPI_E_VERSION 80040110 -2147221232

Try uninstalling any mail clients that is using MAPI, and then installing the latest version of the product.

If that doesn't work, then I suggest you open a support call with Microsoft or Legato.

Took a look at the version of the Mapi file, currently being used on the Exchange server. It identifies, two Mapi files; mapi and mapi32...
Mapi: ver 5.52174.0 Desc: Mapi 1.0 for Win3 Value: NA
Mapi32: ver 5.52653.12 Desc: 1.0 for WinNT Value: SP4

Both do not match the ver number from my Domain controller...I believe that the two files came from the Exchange 5.5 Service pack 4 install...

I have a support call opened with Legato, but I have not recieved a response. The mapi32.dll file that is used by the Buisness suite for Exchange(2.0) uses an older mapi32.dll file. Exchange 5.5 SP4 uses a newer one; I can even flip flop between the two files by renaming them to get the desired app to run...Right now I am trying to find a file that both apps can use...
Business suite 2.0 ver 1.0.2518.0 128K
Exchange 5.5 SP4 ver 5.5.2653.12 861K

Resolved the issue, after getting very little help from Legato, who stated that it was an issue with Exchange 5.5 and Microsoft who stated that it was an issue with Legato. Legato and Microsoft wanted us to think about upgrading to Exchange 2K which is what we wanted to do in the first place, but the client refused...
Even after re-installing the Buisness suite on the Exchange server it wasnt until I copied the Mapi32.dll(ver 1.0.2518) file to the C:\program files\nsr\bin directory.

Hello!

I have done as boogiedwnbro said, but I still can't run the backup... I have just copied the dll at the c:\program files\nsr\bin. But... I haven't found that exact version. The one I have found is 1.0.2536. Should it work the same? Could you send me that dll, or tell me where to find it?

Best Regards

GLeira
