Hi Guys,

I have a down D-Channel. It comes back with the message
DCH: 6 DISABLE INDICATION TIME: 10:23:56

OK
. REASON - **(00000086 )

I have done a search and it appears like this has something to do with a MSDL card. However I have tried all of the commands I can find and I don't seem to have one. This is on a T-1 that is split between voice and data between an Option 11c and a Option 11. Any help would be aprreciated.

Thank You,

Doug

Here is the information. When I type dis msdl 06 in ld 96 I get DCh010. MAybe that means something.

Doug

ld 60
stat

lcnt

if the lcnt table is not all 0.s rcnt..

unless the t is green the d can't come up.. if it is then on the msdl in ld 96.. dis msdl x all and enl msdl x fdl.. note that after you map that card you will know how many ckts it is going to kill when you down it.. then gop back to 60 and disl the loop and bring it up, that may clear it out

Ok, I am starting to understand, however everytime I enter even a simple STAT MSDL in LD 96 the only thing I get is DCh010. Nothing else. I am doing this remotely, doe sthat have anything to do with it?

Doug

ld 48 is for the msdl commands
ld 96 is for stating your dchannels

Form what I can read in the manual you can do the enl dis in LD96 as well. However, it doesn't work in LD 48 either. If I do it there I get a lnk012.

Doug

Like John said.
Go to ld 60
enter lcnt loop number in question (lcnt 2, enter)
If the counters don't read all 0's, type rcnt 2, enter
ld 96
dis dch x (dchannel in question)
ld 60
disl x (loop in question)
enll x (loop in question)
ld 96
enl dch x (dchannel in question)

Thank you PBXN, if I do what you say, I get DCH: 6 DISABLE INDICATION TIME: 11:58:14
REASON - **(00000086

DCH1006 6 000D78F3 00000028

Whiich is the original problem.

That's why I am trying to get the ENL MSDL X FDL to work so far unsuccessfully. My lcnt is all 0's.

So I am mystified.

Doug

Ok these commands work on my full blown Option 11's. However, this is a Option 11 compact. Anyone know if there is a difference? It won't run any of the MSDL commands.

go to ld 48
stat msdl 6
what does that say? If disabled, then
ld 96
dis dch x
ld 60
disl x
ld 48
dis msdl 6
still in ld 48
enl msdl 6 fdl
then stat msdl 6 to ensure that came up
ld 60
enll x
ld 96 enl dch x

Here;s what I get:

>ld 48
LNK000
.stat msdl 6
.
LNK012

Doug

try stat msdl 1
looks like you have it on msdl 1 port 1, not 6 sorry for the miscommunication

Exact same answer. Sorry I tried that first.

ok then stat msdl, enter

Is this an option11?
if so, stat tmdi 1

Hello,

It is an Option 11c Mini.

Stat MSDL same answer as stat msdl 1. Here is the next info:
.stat tmdi 1
TMDI 1: ENBL
DTI 1 ENBL PORT 0
DCH 6 OPER PORT 1
.

LD 96

DIS MSDL 6 ALL

then

RST MSDL 6

then

SLFT MSDL 6

if all of this fails, pull the card...if the MSDL is still active the PBX will INI, at least this way, you'll know if the card is bad or not. Since this is an OPT11C, the MSDL card would be the Daughterboard on your T1 card.

Well DCH 010 means invalid parameter # 1. If I try to disablee the TMDI card it says I have to first disable the MSDL. (error msdl017) So is it possible my MSDL is something other than 6 or 1?

Sounds like a little TMDI corruption. If this is really a TMDI card, a MAP DCH in LD 96 would have showed TMDI not MSDL.

I've seen this problem where people program up DLOP and at the TMDI prompt they either press enter and it defaults to TMDI YES when they don't have a TMDI or they type NO thinking they have a MSDL.

If you have EDD, then INI to remove the programming. If the EDD have already taken place, find a NTAK09 with a NTAK51BA and swap out the card so you can remove the programming....and of course there's always Nortel to clean up the corruption...
