I have a loop with no d-channel and am trying to find out when MSDL card it's on, along with number and port. Can someone provide some insight on this.

Thanks.

Your card may not need a DCH (B-Ch signalling).

If you go to LD22
PRT (ent)
ADAN DCH (ent)

Look for the the parameter SUPL.... that is the loop number that the particular DCH is associated with.

If you find your loop, then look at the 1st part of the print and it will show you the MSDL info.

It's straight forward when you see it.

LD 96
.MAP DCH (ent)

This may also help you with the MSDL mapping

Cheers!!

Not sure I understand your question. You have a loop with no d-channel and you are trying to find out what MSDL cards it's on? Do you have a QPC 720 card or a NT5D12 Dual port DTI/PRI card? If it's not programmed with a d-channel you will have to trace the cables to see if it's even wired to an MSDL Card. The DNUM is set with dial switches on the MSDL card itself. Then of course the ports on the front are labeled 0 thru 3.

One other thing, the MAP DCH will only show you the programmed D-channels and their respective device number and port, it wont show you the loop associated with it. The only way to find this information out is to print the ADAN information. But if it doesn't have a d-channel programmed for that loop it becomes a wiring trace issue to see what or if it is even wired to an MSDL card.
