I need to change the dip switch settings on an MSDL as I need to use a port for a TTY and it is currently set for a DCH.

Can I change the dip settings while the card is seated in the slot or do I need to down the MSDL and unseat before I can change?

There are currently two DCH's configured on the MSDL and I am planning to use an available unconfigured port on the MSDL for a TTY.

You can only use port 0 for TTY - if you can reach switches you can change while in slot.

You will need to pull the card. MSDL will only support DCH's and AML applications is that what your building the TTY for?

I was going to use it for a modem, is this possible?

Thanks

If you didn't have a tty port on the msdl card before then you are probably going to have force download the card anyway since it won't have the SDI firmware loaded.
So you might as well disable it and pull it out to change the switches.
Could avoid an INI.
