I am in the process of installing a DualPri with an additional MSDL card for DCH. I have set the MSDL DNUM to 10, the question is how should the dip switches be set for P0 on the MSDL card. DCH should be programmed as RS-422 DTE? There are 2 sets of switches, one on the left and one on the right for each MSDL P#. Any help is appreciated, if it matters the new dch will be DCH 4.

Sorry, when I try to enable the dch I get the error "DCH: 4 Disable Indication Time: 13:03:55 Reason - Check RS232/RS422"

Most DCH will need to be set for RS-422

You would need to look a the Guide for the Dip switch settings,

Check the PDF Guide for "Circuit Card Description and Installation" for dips, you probably have the NT6D80xx,

These are the scenario's:-

The 10's and 1's rotary switches hardware selects the MSDL Number 0 - 15 Must not conflict with any other address

8dips 10dips
Port 0 OFF OFF RS232 D (AML or MODEM)
Port 1 OFF ON RS422 A DCE to PRI Dchannel
Port 2 ON OFF RS422 A DTE
Port 3 ON ON Not recommended for use may cause
addressing conflicts

Occupies 1 network slot, supports Q931 and AML and from Rls20 supports SDI on port '0' only

Cheers!!

you have to enl msdl 10 fdl in ld 96 to write the code to that card... i want say that device number, rs 422 and the rest is software
