MSDE Default Password

Hi, I just installed the MS Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000) and when I try to connect to the application via OSQL it asks for a password. Does anyone know if there is a default user and password for this application?

I have not used the MSDE 2000 version, but apparently it does use sa with a blank password. Check out the following article:

Thanks all for your responses.

I was able to authenticate to the MSDE application by entering "osql -E OFF" at the command line. This disables the trusted connection option.

Then I ran the sp_grantLogin stored procedure
then to give myself system admin permissions
I ran the sp_addsrvrolemember stored permission

once I had these created I was able to connect to the server via the Enterprise Manager using my own domain username and password.
