All,

We have a number of NT 4.0 MSCS clusters that have started experiencing memory problems. It appears that the CLUSSVC service is holding on to memory. If you look at the service it has had up to 850 MB of memory assingned to itself.

The cluster grinds to a halt because of this.

Help !!!!!!

Hi,

What is running on the cluster... IIS or maybe Exchange?
What process is using this amount of mem?
What is your config. and SP,s?

greetings

Dawn

Dawn,

We are not running Exchange or IIS on the Clusters, they are purely File & Print.

The CLUSSVC.EXE process is the one holding on to the memory.

Currently running SP5, Microsoft have recommended 6a and we are currently testing it to make sure it has no impact.

Also Microsoft have sent us a RPC Hotfix which seems to have helped although they assured us that it wouldnt. (Yey Microsoft).

Cheers

Marc
