Since when win me is boot, some internal software will be activated, maybe some of these softswares you do not need, you can uncheck them in msconfig, it doesn't mean that these software can not run again!

so much internal software cause booting slowly..

Msconfig is a toll that allow you to select exactly what component you run at startup (Just like step-by-step "MAJ+F5" in the windows boot menu).

For Real audio Player for example, I guess that the entry in msconfig is the command to load the cute (but not always needed) icon for realplayer in the taskbar. You should simply uncheck the box and see what's appening!

You must take care to don't unload some windows component...

A little tip : If the file name of the component you want to uncheck is placed in the Windows or windows/system folder, you must don't uncheck it until you know exactly what you are doing.

Hope I'll help :)
