Is there anything in Win2000 that foes what msconfig did in winme for example? I need to see/change my startup apps. Machine takes forever to boot.

Thanks

You can use the msconfig for Windows XP. Download it from here:

Then copy it to c:\winnt\system32

Try using Startup Manager, freely available from Downloads.cnet

There is no Msconfig in win2k, but you can edit the startup items from regedit. start>run>regedit then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
You can also copy msconfig from win98 and ignor the alerts about the missing files. The autostart-tab will still work.
