Hello everyone! i just have a quick question. On other OS's you can use the msconfig command in RUN and access your boot.ini files etc. is there a similar command that works with WIN 2K. I appreciate anyone who may be able to help me with this question.

I'm still new to Win2K so I'd also appreciate knowing where System File Checker went in Win2K?

Does WinXP restore the MSCONFIG and SFC programs?

I'm not sure about SFC, but msconfig is not available under Win2K. However, M$ brought it back under WinXP, and you can copy over the msconfig app to a Win2K pc. I'm sure if you do a google search for msconfig and XP, you should be able to download the app off the net. Just be sure not to use the one from Win9x/ME.

sfc does exist in 2k - but a bit different from 98 version. Just run sfc /? from a command prompt for options.
