We have a DB that continues to return a compile error. When I check the references it indicates that Microsoft Windows Comon Controls 2 6.0 is missing. The specific OCX is mentioned in the subject line.

I have had no luck in adding it.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks - Bruce

Assuming that you have the file within C:\Winnt\System32, or whatever the Windows directory is on the hard drive, if you go into any module, and choose Tools, References, then on the list of Available References, you should find
Code:
Missing:Microsoft Windows Comon Controls 2 6.0[\code]. If you uncheck this, and click OK. Then go back into References, and click on Browse..... Find the file in the windows directory, and click OK, and when it returns to references, it should be at the bottom with a check by it.

Thanks mincefish. If the file is not present where would I locate it to add it to my winnt folder.

Thanks- Mooseman

Erm...I guess you could search the Microsoft site - although I tried before and didn't have a great deal of luck

Try here:

Looks pretty good to me!!
If this doesn't work, then you could try registering this file under ActiveX Controls, which is located under References in the tools menu - as described before.

Hope that all helps.

Tom

There will also be a dependancy file associated with the OCX, & if I rememeber one more file. So you need to make sure you have all of the files, not necessarily just the ocx file... James Goodman
