mschart intallation problem

I want to use MSCHART to plot some data in a VB 2008 program.
When I click on the Toolbox tab, and then right-click on the Toolbox, then click on Choose Items, the Choose Toolbox Items windows is display.
But when I click on the COM Components tab, MSCHART is NOT included in the list.

I have downloaded and installed MSCHART and I get this message:
This program installed correctly
Program: Microsoft Chart Controls for Microsoft.NET
Framework 3.5 Setup

But it is still not shown in the list of COM components.
How can I get this installed correctly?

Look in the Data Tab. Chart is there in my toolbox. This the one you're looking for?

But it does not appear under the Data tab either.

I tried installing the MS Chart control again, and it ran without any errors. But this time I looked at the Installation Log, clicked the Verbose option, and here are last "few" lines from the log:

So, it seems to have "done its thing" successfully.
But I still can't find the Control.
Any suggestions?

I think you also need to run the Microsoft Chart Controls Add-on for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 to see the control in your toolbox. The add-on's overview says:

"This package provides Visual Studio toolbox integration and IntelliSense for the ASP.NET and Windows Forms Chart controls."

Thanks for your help.
I made several attempts to download different files that I found online, and now I have a control called "Chart1".

Is this the same as "MSCHART",
or is it a scaled down, earlier version?
