I am trying to update a my network install of Windows 95 to include the Windows 95 Y2K update. I can get the file to copy to the new computer but I would like it to install also. Here is a copy of my Msbatch.ini file. I updated the following section.

[INSTALL] Added the y2kw95.update
[Y2KW95.UPDATE] Created
[DESTINATIONDIRS] Added y2kw95.update=11

I think the problem is in the next section.

[SOURCEDISKFILES] Don't know the setting

If someone please help. I needed to do this update for 200 new workstation by the end of the month.

Tony Higgins

I would seriously consider upgrading these workstations to WIN98SE
instead of patching WIN95. Win 98 has these updates included and
could save you from dealing with more incompatability issues in the
future.
You can buy 1 copy of WIN98 and purchase additional licenses for
a lesser amount.
David J. tips from reading other postings.
If you have any questions or comments, please email.

David,
I don't have a choice. I'm an consultant and the client wants to have Windows 95 rev (a). The client is just now thinking about updating to rev. (b). I'm just hoping that someone has an answer, otherwise i'm looking at pushing it down to the desktop.

Thanks,

Tony

Hmmm... is this trip really necessary? Do any of the computers display an incorrect date?

My understanding of the Win95 Y2k patch is that it was to assist the January rollover. If you don't see any problems now, you won't see any problems for twenty more years. Address the problems on the machines that are having problems.

InterruptX@excite.com
<a href= Contingency Implementation
Send me suggestions or comments on my current software project.
