Hello, I have a database administrator working with me who runs MS Access 97 linked to a SQL 7.50 database. She's running this on a Windows 2000 machine. Roughly, every half an hour, she gets an application error that goes something like this...

The instruction at "0x77f6ce4c" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the application
Click on CANCEL to debug the application

I hope someone could give me some insight as to why she gets this error. She's the only one in the company who gets it. She's also the only one running Windows 2000 and Access 97, if that has something to do with it. Thanks.

Just some thoughts:
1. Is another version of Access loaded on this PC? Access 2000, Access 95, ..?
2. Was Access upgraded on this PC? Perhaps the upgrade process was not clean.
3. Can you completly unistall and re-install?
4. Can the PC be re-imaged to clear all registry junk?
5. Check MS KB to confirm not a known problem...

What did you find out about this error?

We are getting the same issue with Access 2000. We're also getting issues of MSAccess has generated errors and will be shut down. Thought this might be related to MDAC or so it was indicated on the Microsoft Website.

Downloaded the patch 2.6 as well as 2.7 and that doesn't seem to have fixed the issue.

Possibly related to issues with Excel where linked to Access Databases and Visio templates which have Visual Basic.

We are also running on Windows 2000. Maybe that's the missing link?
