I am using MSAccess 2000 and Acrobat 6.0

I have several reports using the 'Adobe PDF' printer.
I added a port to print the pdf files to a scecific directory.
I have set Adobe PDF settings:
View Adobe PDF results - Off
Prompt for Adobe PDF file name - Off
Ask to replace existing pdf filename - Off
= = = = = = = = = = =

Sometimes I get the following message:

Unable to Find "Adobe PDF" Resource File

"c:\Windoes\All Users\Documents\Adobe PDF 6.0\Settings\joboptions"

Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?

I can usually stop this from happening by doing the following:
= = = = = = = = =

I open the report in Design mode and go to Page Setup, Page
and select Use Specific Printer, Printer, Properties
I then OK, OK, OK, etc and Save the Report

The problem usually then goes away.

Any ideas what's causing all this?

Thanks.

Also, I would like to hide the progress box. Any ideas.

I have a different problem with the exact same error message. I have Access 2002 with pre programmed modules and reports that where set to use Acrobat 5.0 and Acrobat Distiller. I have upgraded to Acrobat 6.0 hoping I could simply change the Adobe PDF printer name to Acrobat Distiller which I have done. Every other program on the computer will print with any problems to the renamed printer whether it be Word, Excel, Internet, etc. But when I try to run the automated process for the Access programs I get the same error message as above. Now if I change the printer name back to Adobe PDF I get a different error message stating that Acrobat Distiller is not found would you like to use Adobe PDF instead, and if I select OK it prints out fine but it will give that message for each report it tries to print. There are about 30 or so automated reports for the Access programs and I have about 10 different Access programs that do the samething but for different reports. Can anyone help me out please?

Edit above post.

All other programs print WITHOUT any problems.

I have the same problem except that whilst I have Access 97 installed, the problem occurs when I try and print from Excel (also 97).

I have made the affected user an administrator on his PC but it makes no difference. However, if I log on as another user it works fine. Therefore, if I delete and recreate the affected user's profile it should start to work.

Only thing is, I'm reluctant to do this because he has so many customised settings such as offline files and silly mouse pointers. You know how users get when you change their settings...
