Hi I could use some help with Word 97/2000.

My problem exists when I have a document with different sections in it. Majority is portrait, two pages are landscape. When I insert a contents section it resets page number back to 1 when I alter orientation.. i.e.

portrait page .... 1
portrait page .... 2
landscape page ... 3
portrait page .... 1
portrait page .... 2

I cant find out how to make page numbers continuous. I have read earlier posts about Insert - Break - Continuous but cant use this as I am using File - Page Setup - Paper Size to set page orientation.

Any help with this would be appreciated,
Tony.

Hi Tony

Normally Word defaults to continuous numbering between sections, but if it isn't, go into View Header/Footer, press the Format Page Number button, and choose "Continue from previous section" there.
